How do I get Around in Riviera Maya?

The best way to get around Riviera Maya is by renting a car, which can be done at Cancun International Airport or within Cancun. Many other local municipalities, like Tulum and Playa Del Carmen, also offer car rental services. There are also minivans, known as colectivos, that can be taken from the airport and from city to city within Riviera Maya. The region also has plenty of taxis, but it’s best to agree upon your fare before taking a ride.
