A valid passport is required for entering and exiting Turks and Caicos, and you will need to be able to show proof of onward travel or a return ticket. Some countries require visas to enter Turks and Caicos; be sure to check travel requirements for your country of citizenship before you book. All travellers are required to attain online pre-travel authorization from the TCI Assured portal.
All international flights into the Turks and Caicos arrive at the Providenciales International Airport (PLS).
There is no public transportation on the islands, so the best way to get around is by car. Cars are available for rent from the airport (note: vehicles drive on the left side of the road in Turks and Caicos). Taxis are also available on some of the larger islands.
Most travellers visit from the end of November through March, and most of the island's tours and activities are catered to this peak season. The islands enjoy good weather year-round, but there is a rainy season in Turks and Caicos, which lasts from June to November.
