Luxury Villa Rentals for 2+ people
Officially known as Saint Barthelemy, St Barts is known for its lush landscapes, beautiful beaches, and chic culture. St Barts villas let you experience the best of this island with all the style and grace it deserves.
Named after Christopher Columbus’s brother, St Barts was settled by the French in the 17th century. However, they quickly sold the island to the Swedish in 1784, when it became a free port and saw its wealth rise dramatically. The French repurchased St Barts in 1878.
While the island’s French influence is readily apparent everywhere from its cafes to its shops today, its Swedish influence can also be felt in its architecture and city planning – especially in its capital, Gustavia.
Of course, that’s just one part of the St Barts story. The other part comes with the tourist boom of the 20th century and the many moguls, celebrities, and dignitaries who came to call the island home – starting with David Rockefeller in the 1950s. These tastemakers built up the first St Barts villas with an eye for easy sophistication, and this heritage continues to this day.

St Barts is one of the safest destinations in the Caribbean. It has a very low crime rate, and both Gustavia and Saint Jean are safe to walk at night. There’s also a well-regarded hospital in Gustavia and the tap water is safe to drink. That said, be sure to watch for sun exposure, and check water conditions before swimming.
High season in St Barts runs from December to April. The weather is mild and there are plenty of great events, like the St Barts Music Festival in January and Les Voiles de St Barth (one of the world’s most prestigious regattas) in April. That said, this is also when the island is most crowded with visitors, so book in advance.
Shoulder season is May-June and December-November. The weather is still mild, but with a higher chance of showers. The island is quieter, but restaurants and activities are still open. Prices also drop on St Barts villas. For many, this is the best time to visit.
Low season is July-October. The weather is hot and humid, and there’s a higher chance of storms, though many days are still beautiful. Some businesses and restaurants may close at this time. Still, this is when you’ll find the best deals on St Barts villas.
Hit the beach: From the stylish rhythms of Saint Jean Beach to the secluded serenity of Gouverneur Beach, there’s a stretch of sand and surf here for every taste.
Explore Gustavia: Browse the boutiques for unique souvenirs, visit Fort Gustav, or just stroll along the harbor and admire the yachts.
Take a boat charter: Sail around the St Barts shores, stopping to snorkel at the vibrant reefs by Colombier Beach or around Pain de Sucre.
