Your Guide to Tamarindo Villas

Tamarindo, a popular resort town along Costa Rica’s famous Gold Coast, is a haven for surfers and beach lovers alike. And with lovely stays all along the coastline and the verdant hills surrounding the Bay, Tamarindo villas let you experience the best of this beautiful corner of Guanacaste.

Originally a sleepy fishing town, Tamarindo grew into a thriving tourist destination following the establishment of the nearby Marino Las Baulas National Park in 1990. The town grew increasingly popular among surfers thanks to its waves and conditions, as well as with eco-tourists thanks to its proximity to the park. This infused Tamarindo with the unique atmosphere it enjoys today.

Tamarindo villas further this atmosphere with unique stays and distinct characters. Here you’ll find some of the most diverse villas in Costa Rica – everything from sprawling hillside manors to elevated beach houses.

Renting a luxury villa in Tamarindo is easy with Rental Escapes. First, choose your travel dates. Next, choose your party size. From there, your Rental Escapes Villa Specialist will happily present you with the best available Tamarindo villas for your group. After, your Concierge customizes your trip, including transportation, chef service, boat charters, excursions, and more.

Tamarindo Villa Rentals

While Tamarindo has quickly become one of Costa Rica’s most popular destinations, there’s still a hidden, wild side waiting to be discovered. Tamarindo villa rentals let you discover this side with stays that reflect Costa Rica’s diverse landscapes and culture.

You can find Tamarindo villas all along the coastal area. This includes the famous Tamarindo Beach, as well as further south by the more laid-back Playa Langosta, or by the lush greenery of Pinila. No matter where you stay, expect beautiful landscapes, great beaches, and close proximity to some of Costa Rica’s best trails.

You can also expect 5-star service, including from your Rental Escapes Concierge, who can assist you with arranging additional staff, excursions, or anything else.

Tamarindo Beach Villas

Due to Tamarindo’s conservation efforts and geography, villas directly on the beach are relatively rare. Tamarindo beach villas tend to be located just a short walk from the beach, though, while offering gorgeous panoramic views. They include:

Casa Alang Alang: Just a 5-minute walk to Playa Grande, Casa Alang Alang provides impeccable comfort for up to 19 guests. It features an open-concept living area, panoramic ocean views, an infinity pool, and an additional pool with an integrated jacuzzi and double loungers. A breakfast buffet is also included, and there’s an eco-friendly insect-repellant system. It’s the ultimate Tamarindo beach villa.

Casa Serena: Beachfront in the resort community of Pinilla, Casa Serena is an oasis surrounded by verdant gardens. The star here is the beachfront swimming pool and jacuzzi, letting you swim and enjoy panoramic ocean views. There’s also a fitness room, a sauna, and a beachside table and chairs. A truly serene choice.

Villa Morabeza: With direct beach access (via a hidden path) to both Tamarindo Beach and Playa Langosta, the latter less than a minute away, Villa Maorabeza is a perfect choice for beach lovers. Its hillside location also affords privacy and panoramic views, and a variety of bedroom arrangements, including bunk beds, make this an ideal choice for families.

Tamarindo Villas with Pool

There’s no better way to enjoy Tamarindo’s great weather and gorgeous landscapes than from your own pool. Tamarindo villas with pool let you do just that in style and privacy. They include:

Cocoon Luxury Estate: Spread out over a villa, a cabana, and a very special Nest suite, Cocoon Luxury Estate is the perfect place for a destination wedding, special event, or corporate retreat. It features a sprawling pool that spans the length of the villa, an additional hanging pool in the nest, well-appointed furnishings, and an elevated beach hut aesthetic.

Villa Nai: Featuring not one but two pools, the 11-bedroom Villa Nai has everything you need to create the ultimate Tamarindo vacation. It also features a modern design that’s both spacious and comfortable, with little touches like outdoor showers and a fire pit. A perfect choice for families.

Villa Serenidad: A combination of two villas forming an impressive 14-bedroom estate, Villa Serenidad offers panoramic ocean views and a unique approach to luxury living. It’s composed of Compass House, which offers a perfect mix of wild and luxury, and Casa Leo Loco, with its castle-like three-level tower. Both offer private infinity pools from which you can gaze out at the ocean.

Tamarindo Villas for Families

A great destination for families, Tamarindo has grown from its humble surf town beginnings to offer something for everyone. Tamarindo villas for families take that ethos one step further with stays that are perfect for all ages. They include:

Casa Navidad: This 4-bedroom villa is built with fun in mind. It features a pickleball court, a basketball court, a SONOS-speakered terrace, a big private pool, a pool table, a game and movie room, and more. There’s also a variety of sleeping arrangements, including a room with bunk beds. It’s a perfect choice for families, especially if you’re traveling with older kids.

Sunset House: Created and designed by renowned architects and builders, Sunset House is an elevated beach house with contemporary finishes and a beautiful luxury vibe. A variety of sleeping arrangements allow this 5-bedroom villa to sleep up to 14 guests, and the attentive staff ensures a smooth stay. There’s even a custom, all-natural mosquito repellant and water system installed.

Casa Costa Blanca: Located by Playa Bonita, Casa Costa Blanca offers a private, serene escape. Relax in the infinity pool. Have a dip in the jacuzzi. Stroll along the semi-private beach. Enjoy a meal alfresco from the barbecue rancho. It’s all here for you to enjoy.
