Founded in 2012, Rental Escapes is a luxury villa rental company dedicated to providing world-class rental experiences to our guests. Our curated portfolio of luxury villas spans the globe, and each villa has been meticulously reviewed to ensure the highest levels of quality.

In addition to finding the world's best villas, Rental Escapes is also dedicated to guest service. From your initial inquiry, our Villa Specialists work with you to ensure we find the perfect place to stay. After, your Concierge personalizes your trip, including transportation, excursions, chef service, and more. Your Concierge is also available throughout your trip for anything that comes up, and you have access to a 24/7 emergency line just in case.

Whether you're planning a family vacation, a romantic getaway, a destination wedding, a corporate retreat, or any other kind of special trip or event, our team is here to help create unforgettable villa experiences that you and your fellow guests will cherish forever.
Rental Escapes does not directly own or manage the villas in its collection. Instead, we work with professional, on-site property managers, and we only offer villas that meet our stringent selection criteria. This means that our villas are independently owned and constructed, which gives them a unique sense of character and design, and that they are managed on the ground by local property managers who maintain the highest standards for service.
CHOOSING A VILLA
The easiest way to rent a villa with Rental Escapes is to let one of our Villa Specialists know where you want to go, along with your preferred travel dates and party size. From there, they'll get in touch to know a little more about your preferences and will present you with the best options for your trip.

You can also use our website or app to browse our villas yourself. Each listing contains detailed information, including high-res photos, a description, an amenities list, information on the location, rates, and more. You can then use the contact form on the listing itself to request your dates and get a free, no-obligation quote.
The majority of our villas are open to guests of all ages. Many also have special bedrooms for children, including themed bedrooms, bedrooms with bunk beds, and more.

That said, some villas, especially in Europe, do have age restrictions. This could be because of valuable antiques or artwork in the villa, or because it is located alongside a cliff and does not have much child-proofing.

Any age restrictions should be listed on the villa's page, but check with your Villa Specialist to be sure.
Some of our villas include cribs, and cribs can be added to many others. Let your Villa Specialist know if you are travelling with an infant or toddler.
Yes! While most associate a villa stay with larger groups, Rental Escapes has many smaller villas and luxury condos that are perfect for couples and honeymoons, including in romantic destinations like St. Barts, Turks and Caicos, Punta Mita, and more.
Yes. Under no circumstances will you be sharing rooms with strangers. The entire villa is yours to enjoy.
RENTAL RATES
While the overall sticker price of a villa may be higher than the per room night of a hotel, villas are usually the superior value when you divide the price by the number of guests that the villa can accommodate. That's part of the reason why villas are such great options for groups!
The rates you see listed on Rental Escapes are for the entire villa. That said, some villas adjust the rate based on the number of bedrooms used. A full price breakdown can be found on each listing, and your Villa Specialist can give you more information.
Many villas, especially larger villas, adjust the rate based on the number of bedrooms used. Unused bedrooms will simply be locked (they will not be rented out to other guests). That said, these villas often require the full house to be rented over the holidays. Check the villa listing or ask your Villa Specialist for more information.
Yes! Promotions include free nights, concierge credits, and more. Villas that offer special promotions can be easily identified while searching, and you can also ask your Villa Specialist if any promotions are going on.
RENTAL POLICIES
Most villas have a minimum of 5-7 night stays, though this depends on the destination and the time of year. During the holidays, some villas may require a 10-14-night stay.
Most Caribbean, US, and Mexican destinations allow you to start your reservation any day of the week. Some destinations, like Turks and Caicos or European destinations, may require Sunday-Sunday bookings. Check with your Villa Specialist to be sure.
Villa reservations are confirmed by signing the rental agreement and sending it back to your Villa Specialist. In addition, a 50% deposit is usually required to confirm the reservation. The balance is due 60-120 days before arrival, depending on your chosen villa and dates.
Yes, Rental Escapes offers an accidental damage waiver for many villas. This waiver provides insurance against any accidental damage caused during your stay. The coverage could vary by villa, but generally, for $299 USD, the accidental damage waiver covers damages of $2,000 or less. Ask your Villa Specialist for more information.
In cases where the accidental damage waiver is not available, then a security deposit will be required. Some villas may also require a security deposit in addition to, or instead of, the accidental damage waiver. The amount of the security deposit is found on the villa listing and can be confirmed by your Villa Specialist. The deposit is 100% refundable if there are no damages.
While cancellation policies can vary, typically there is a cancellation window that closes 120-60 days before the booking. Cancellations made before this cut-off are usually refundable, minus 20% of the gross rental rate. Holiday bookings are non-refundable. If you foresee that you may need to cancel your reservation, travel insurance is strongly recommended.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
You will have access to a 24/7 emergency line so you can always reach someone at Rental Escapes. Your on-site property manager will also be able to assist you.
Many of our villas are located in gated communities, and some even have their own gates. Ask your Villa Specialist for a full breakdown of security protocols.
While some villas have their own security guards, others are located within secure communities or have other staff that double as security. Ask your Villa Specialist for more information.
Some of our villas are fully wheelchair accessible, with features such as accessible bathrooms, elevators, or single-floor designs. If you're looking for an accessible villa, just let your Villa Specialist know.
All of our villas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between reservations. This includes washing linens in high temperatures, using disinfectant during cleaning, and thoroughly disinfecting high-touch areas.
CONCIERGE
Yes, every Rental Escapes booking includes complimentary 5-star Concierge service. Your Concierge service begins the moment you make your booking, and is available throughout the length of your stay.

  • Golf, tennis, or yoga
  • In-villa spa treatments

Yes! Many of our villas even have their own spa treatment rooms. Spa services can also be set up outside by the pool or beach. Ask your Concierge for more information.
Your Concierge can be contacted at any time through the Rental Escapes app. Your Concierge will get back to you within 24 hours (or Monday at the latest if the contact is made on the weekend). If you are on your trip, you will have access to a 24/7 emergency line and an onsite contact.
While many villas include airport transfers, some do not. In either case, your Concierge can arrange airport transfers for you.
STAFF
Many of our villas include staff such as a private cook, housekeepers, butlers, gardeners, pool maintenance, and more. You can see which staff are included on the villa's listing, and your Villa Specialist can confirm the staff with you. Your Concierge can also arrange additional staff for any villa rental.
Some destinations are more likely than others to offer fully staffed villas that include chefs and cooks. These destinations include:

  • Barbados
  • Jamaica
  • Dominican Republic
  • St Martin
  • Turks and Caicos

Regardless of your destination, your Concierge can also arrange additional chef service on any villa stay.
Tipping customs vary by destination. While tipping is not customary in Europe, for example, it is in many parts of the Caribbean. In general, for fully staffed Caribbean villas, it is customary to give a tip of 10% (in high season) or 15% (in low season) of the rental price to the staff in cash at the end of the stay. The tip should be split among the staff.
FOOD AND DRINK
Your Concierge can arrange villa pre-stocking on any villa stay. Prior to your arrival, your Concierge will send you a stocking list to see which food and drinks you'd like stocked before your arrival. Once you arrive, your Concierge, chef, or onsite contact can also arrange additional grocery service.
Any kind you like! Prior to arrival, your Concierge will be in touch to inquire about any food preferences, requirements, or dietary restrictions you may have. Your Concierge can then work with you to develop custom meal plans. Of course, you can always just let yourself be surprised by the chef! Once you arrive, your chef will also talk to you about your food preferences and requirements.
Yes. Kosher villas are available in Jamaica, Mexico, and Florida. A full kashering of the kitchen can be performed by a rabbi, and kosher groceries can be arranged. Ask your Villa Specialist to know which kosher villas are available for your dates.
Yes! Your Concierge is happy to provide restaurant recommendations and reservations for any destination.
COMING HOME
The security deposit is returned within 14 days of your arrival home if there are no damages.
We love to hear any feedback, and so do your fellow travellers! The best way to leave any feedback is through a review. Once you get back from your trip, your Villa Specialist will follow up with you to see how everything went. You'll also receive a survey to find out about your stay. That's where you can share any thoughts you had about your villa and give it a rating out of 5 stars.
