OVERVIEW

Set in Grand Cul de Sac all the way on top Villa Alta Vista certainly lives up to its name. From its unique vantage point, the luxury rental property enjoys superb views of the island and the Caribbean Sea beyond. The panoramic picture windows offer scenes of the aquamarine lagoon of Grand Cul de Sac and the islands of Tortue, Toque Vert, Frégate, Bonhomme, Fourchue, Saint Martin, and Anguilla.

The house is designed with a pared-down Caribbean elegance, with more of those large windows at every turn. At the same time, it has a homey feeling, and its layout makes it a good choice for families. The centrepiece is an open-plan living area with a piano. This gives way to a custom-designed kitchen that is a delight for cooks. A cozy TV room, which can also serve as an office, is tucked to one side, and there are two dining tables, one inside and the other outdoors.

Three of the bedrooms are upstairs in this main building. They share a small living area and a terrace. The primary bedroom on this level has a large dressing area, an ensuite bathroom, and views from two sides. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom. The fourth bedroom is in a separate bungalow near the entrance of the property and has direct access to the large swimming pool.

The pool is also lovely, with large royal palms beside it. As well, there is a gazebo for shaded space on the terrace.
