OVERVIEW

Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa's Sabi Sand. Ulusaba has 20 rooms and suites spread over two lodges: Rock Lodge, including the beautiful Cliff Lodge, and Safari Lodge. The name Ulusaba means ‘place of little fear’, so named because the koppie, or hill, on which Rock Lodge sits provided the ancient Shangaan tribal warriors with the perfect lookout point.

At Rock Lodge you’re on top of the world as you stand 800 feet above the surrounding wilderness - perfect for surveying miles of the game-rich South African bush. The lodge has eight rooms and suites, each reflecting African tribal influences and style.

The Makwela Suites, located at Rock Lodge, are built over two levels with full en-suite bathrooms and peaceful private balconies with infinity edge plunge pools. Each has its own separate living area and study, as well as a comfortable fold-out sleeper couch suitable for children.
