Luxury Villa Rentals for 2+ people
Located on the famed Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii, Mauna Lani is a resort area known for its beautiful landscapes, dry, sunny climate, and interesting history. Similarly, Mauna Lani villas combine luxury, culture, and natural beauty to create unparalleled experiences.
Mauna Lani means “mountain reaching heaven.” For centuries, it was considered a sacred place. Hawaiian chiefs would travel here to rejuvenate their spirits. Kamehameha I, the great warrior chief who unified the Hawaiian islands, trained here. Today, petroglyph fields, the King’s Trail, and the preserved Kalahuipua’a Fishponds are all testaments to this rich heritage.
Modern Mauna Lani maintains this focus on physical and spiritual rejuvenation. Activities like fishpond restoration, canoe paddling excursions, and story sessions with Kapuna (Elders) maintain a strong connection with Hawaiian culture. Similarly, the mana (spiritual energy) of the healing ocean waters and lava-infused land remain strong.
