Casa Nautica - Stunning Views!
Let me start by saying that our Reservations Manager Levi Hoffman was terrific! He was very helpful with our reservation and provided a ton of valuable information. Villa Nautica (also known as Villa Michael) was truly beautiful with absolutely spectacular views. The staff did a nice job taking care of our breakfast and lunch requests. Breakfast always had several options, including made to order eggs. Lunch was good on the days we ate there, though the buffet food was generally not hot. We quickly resolved this by asking for the food to be plated. We asked, at an extra cost (per person/per day), to have the villa cook/chef prepare dinner. The food was very good! Ricardo, our onsite villa attendant (not sure what his title was), did a fantastic job and helped us with all of our needs. The chef, assistant, housekeepers (2), and grounds-keeper, were always working hard. Ricardo helped us pick some local restaurants for dinner a few nights, and one night we ate at the restaurant by the associated club at Los Arcos. The food and views at the club dinner restaurant were wonderful, expensive but worth the price. The adult kids did a zipline tour from Puerto Vallarta and said it was the best zipline they ever did, waterfalls, ziplines, rock slides, jeep rides, mule rides, this trip hd it all. We also rented a catamaran (private) for a day, that was a wonderful trip and I highly recommend. There was a "villa host", she was at the villa when we arrived late (after delays at the airport) for just a few minutes as she quickly walked us through the property and then just as quickly left. We did not see her again, though she offered to come back just before we departed. We said that was unneceessary, the staff we had all week were doing a great job. It is important to note that the staff work specific hours, which is a bit different than renting a staffed villa in the Carribean. Someone is at the villa from roughly 6 AM to 4 PM only. This was not a problem for us, but it was a little unexpected as villas we rented in the Caribbean have people there all the time, but for assistance and security. To be clear, we never felt unsafe, there were security guards at the gates to the complex.

Same Cost As AirBnB But With 10x The Service
We rented an amazing home from Rental Escapes and I can’t recommend it enough. We were deciding between two homes, one on AirBnB and another on Rental Escapes - Homes were nearly identical and so were the prices. I was a bit hesitant to rent from Rental Escapes, as I hadn’t heard of it before and I’m always wary of being scammed. We went with Rental Escapes at the end of the day (after I confirmed with American Express it wasn’t a scam) and we are so thankful we did. We had a concierge that coordinated transportation and pre-stock items, along with coordinating all communication with the on-site staff. Plus, there is an awesome App that has all the details for the trip. Everything was top notch. Next trip, I would be willing to pay materially more for a home listed with Rental Escapes. Cheers!
