OVERVIEW

Villa Carina is located on a hill 90 m above sea level, in front of a panoramic viewpoint of incomparable beauty that frames the Gulf of Naples, the island of Procida and the nature reserve of the island of Vivara. In this authentic garden of Eden is a wonderful Mediterranean-inspired garden, overlooking the sea, with the large swimming pool and prestigious villa surrounded by cypresses, palms, bougainvillea, hibiscus and sago palms. This splendid property was built by the architect Curtmeiner of Munich in 1968, inspired by the buildings on Lake Garda, another place he loved, and it has been renovated by the current owners, maintaining unchanged the characteristics of the materials and architectural elements. Vietri ceramic floors, Carrara marbles, antique furnishings and elegant tapestries define the classic and refined style of the villa, with no lack of accessories for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The heart of the house is the bright, all white, living room in which a happy play of large windows duets harmoniously with the large patio facing the garden, a formidable corner for alfresco meals or simply for lounging and admiring the sea, comfortably relaxing in soft armchairs. It will be truly wonderful to return to this dream villa after a day spent exploring the enchanting corners of the coast across the whole island: the Aragonese Castle, the thermal gardens, the Bay of Sorgeto, the beautiful borghi of Sant'Angelo and Ischia Ponte, the fabulous beaches of Cartaromana, Citara or Cava. Also, the fabulous paths that wind around Mount Epomeo, a climb rewarded by the breathtaking view that embraces the whole island and stretches to the islands of Capri and Ponza, to Naples, Vesuvius and the Sorrento peninsula. The villa is located in a residential area but enjoys absolute privacy and tranquillity and is just a few minutes from Ischia Porto, renowned for its social life, terminal for the main buses and the ferry boarding where you will find all useful services, emporiums, supermarkets and restaurants.

The villa has three floors, for a total area of 750 sq m, in addition to the splendid terraces with sea views. The main entrance is located at the front, reached when arriving from the road opposite the villa. A small atrium leads to the main door, and then to an open-plan area with a semicircular reading room and a large living room with a glass wall overlooking the entire Gulf of Naples. From the entrance hall, a small hallway leads to the kitchen and the dining room. Also on this floor are two suites composed of a double bedroom, sitting room and bathroom with shower. A large staircase leads up to the top floor with the suite with a primary bedroom and bathroom with tub and shower, and another three suites with a double bedroom, bathroom with shower and sitting room. The large hallway leading to these suites contains an open-plan TV room with a panoramic view, like most of the other rooms which overlook the pool and the Gulf. Going back down the internal staircase you come to the basement with a large room equipped with a corner bar with a peninsula and stools, a billiard room and a sitting room, with direct access via a flight of steps to the swimming pool solarium.

The garden, extending over an area of about 900 sq m, is fenced and designed to guarantee total privacy and full use of all the set-up areas. Constructed on two terraces, it is designed to always guarantee a view of the sea and is a veritable riot of palm and cypress trees, of sago palms, bougainvillea, euphorbia and hibiscus which surround the swimming pool with a further corner of rock garden in lava stone which recalls the elements of the surrounding territory. Corners of succulent plants and lively blooms decorate the cosy patio with dining area on the ground floor. The solarium that surrounds the swimming pool and the gazebo, furnished with a large ceramic table hand-painted with flowers and lemons, representative of Vietri ceramics, is equipped with sunbeds and comfortable seating to enjoy the wonderful panorama overlooking the Port of Ischia and the whole Gulf of Naples.

Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

The south-facing swimming pool with full sea view lies on a terrace next to the villa. Rectangular and measuring 4 x 13 m with the depth varying from 1 to 2 m, it is lined in light-coloured PVC and has chlorine purification and steps for access to the water. Internally and along the entire edge are bright spotlights, allowing the pool to be used in the evening as well. The solarium area is equipped with sunbeds and small tables, guaranteeing full relaxation in the sun. The area is completed by a cold-water shower and a wrought-iron gazebo with a splendid handcrafted table, in lava stone and Vietri ceramics, seating 12 where you can enjoy a meal or an apéritif overlooking the gulf. The swimming pool is available from the first Saturday in April until the second Saturday in October.
