Haystack

With superb sea views, masses of space and a fabulous art collection, Haystack is the perfect villa for multi-generational family travel with a raft of facilities designed to appeal to all ages.

Located on Ocean View Drive, Haystack is surrounded by rolling lawns with lovely sea views to the front and a panorama of the Tryall estate to the rear. Built by a family for families to enjoy, the villa is built on three tiered levels and is notable for its capacious open-plan interiors and free-flowing space. Classic black and white marble tiles set the stage for a grand welcome into an elegant gallery that leads to a warm and inviting living room which is elegantly furnished with locally made and imported furniture and accented by a fine collection of Jamaican art.

Formal dining indoors in the striking red dining room affords views of the sea with meals prepared using fresh produce from the villas organic herb and vegetable garden. Outside is a huge veranda, comfortably furnished with an alfresco dining area and a further lower deck with stylish seating is adjacent to the large heated salt water swimming pool. A fabulous bar with television has recently been installed at one end of the pool.

A spacious entertainment room on the lower pool level is complete with games table, Foosball, ping-pong, television and bar.

Five bedrooms on the main level include three master suites and two guest suites. Two masters are fitted with king beds and the third with a queen bed. Each has a private en suite bathroom with soaking tub and separate walk-in shower and double-basin vanity. The guest bedrooms each have optional king or twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms fitted with tub/shower combination. Bedrooms on the main level open to private balconies. A notable feature of all of the bedrooms is the striking artwork celebrating many of Jamaica's most prominent and famous artists.

A very private suite is on the pool terrace level. It is fitted with a king bed, en suite bathroom with walk-in shower as well as bath and opens to its own private patio and the pool terrace.

One flight of stairs up from the main level, is a hideaway under a peaked cedar roof, with two more bedrooms, each with twin beds (may be arranged as kings). These share a bathroom with walk-in shower, and are separated by a comfortably furnished play/ television room making it a very popular choice for children or teenagers.

At certain times of year and upon request you can also rent the charming adjacent two-bedroom cottage called Wonderland for an additional $8,500 per week thereby making a total of ten bedrooms. This charming cottage comprises a sitting room with wet bar which opens to a terrace with infinity pool. The two bedrooms are either side of the sitting room and throughout as in Haystack there is a well-curated art collection to enjoy.
